May. My birthday. When I was younger, the days leading up to it seemed to go by in slow motion; it took forever to arrive, and once it did, it seemed like an eternity until the next one. Now I am still eager, but not as impatiently so as I used to be. The years go by more quickly. Too quickly, sometimes… but I still look forward to my birthday.

Spring brings more than just warmth, life, and joy. With spring comes the MOTION of life. So not just life in general– but the hustle, the bustle, the laughter, the eMOTION, the colors. Life in itself can be boring, monotonous, still. With spring, though… the very same lives that were hushed, muted, and silent in the dead of winter are renewed… reactivated… in motion.

My favorite part of spring is…
Every thing starts anew, in winter all life seems to be destroide. Yet when spring comes things get set back into motion, and Life moves on. Flowers bloom, birds chirp, things are green again. And sudenly familys seem to actualy be happier. That is my favorite part of spring.

Just as the spring gives new life and opportunity, I’m reminded of the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus gave and died so that my life could be put into motion towards an everlasting relationship with him! In winter I stay inside almost all day, reading books and watching movies. It’s too cold out there! But as soon as Spring comes I’m in constant Motion because it’s too lovely outside to sit still any longer!

I eagerly await Spring every year, but when it comes, I know that it will pass and Summer, Fall and Winter will soon follow. But then it will be Spring again. No matter how long the Winter lasts (or can seem to last), Spring will come through. This natural motion of barren to fruitful, of cold to warm, of death to life gives me great hope, knowing that even the most frigid and lifeless situations soon can in turn give birth to life.
