Can you believe that Demon Hunter has been making breakthrough metal tunes for a decade? That’s right, this part time band had their first studio release way back in 2002 with their self-titled album, Demon Hunter, which like all of their other albums has been put out through Solid State Records. They are now set to put out their sixth studio album, True Defiance, which will be available everywhere on Tuesday, April 10th, 2012.
In an interview that will be posted tomorrow on Christian Music Zine, Demon Hunter front man Ryan Clark has said in response to if they planned to make the new album harder or grittier, that “We’re able to explore our melodic side with the slower songs, so the natural instinct is to go the opposite direction with the heavy material.”
For those fans who are really into album cover art, a lot of the work on Tooth & Nail Records and their imprint Solid State Records is done by the graphic design company Invisible Creature, which just happens to be Clark’s real job, so it should come as no surprise that it is his handy work that we see on the multiple album covers for True Defiance (including the deluxe packages), which you can see below.
Want to hear a little bit from the album? Well, you start by checking out the Solid State Records Podcast, which features a three part Demon Hunter series!
